Hello, my name is Anna. This blog is about all the beautiful islands around the world.

74 dominica

"I am beauty unspoilt. Culture preserved. I am a diver’s dream and hiker’s paradise. I am the trailhead to adventure and discovery, unlike any other Caribbean destination. I am volcanic peaks, boiling waters and underwater champagne springs. Sparkling waterfalls, rushing streams and rainforest canopies. I am celebrations of music, art and flowers. I am nature’s island. I am Dominica."

This is how this island 'introduces itself' on its main website, www.dominica.dm. It is also similiar to how Zosia, who was so kind to send me this card, described it - an island full of amazing nature, both hiking and hitch-hiking paradise, with friendly people and lots of interesting places to see. It is home to world second largest hot spring - Boiling Lake, and as many as 365 rivers!

Unfortunately since the post office was closed I cannot see the Dominican stamps - the card was sent from its neighbour Martinique.

      Pozdrawia autorka kartki :) Zosia

My big dream is to receive postcards sent from every island in the world (at least those that have a postbox). If you would like to help me, please contact me at letters.from.islands@gmail.com.
