Hello, my name is Anna. This blog is about all the beautiful islands around the world.

58 mindanao

This next card shows Chocolate hills on Bohol island in Philippines, but the card has travelled to me from its neighbour - the island of Mindanao.

You can read a bit about the hills on the back of the card, and I will try to tell you a bit about Mindanao here, since the project is more about the islands that the cards were sent from :) This is also the card that has travelled the longest (and I actually thought it was lost) - nearly two months!

Mindanao is the second largest island in the Philippines, right after Luzon. It is mountainous, and is home to Mount Apo, the highest mountain in Philippines. The island is the most diverse in Philippines, with people from different cultures living next to each other. There are also indigenous tribes living in the mountains of Mindanao, you can learn more about them and the island on this website.

Thank you La'vie for sending this card!

  1. Od dłuższego czasu poluję na kartkę właśnie z tymi wzgórzami, bo ujrzałam je kiedyś na PC i się zakochałam i w nazwie i w ich wyglądzie :)

My big dream is to receive postcards sent from every island in the world (at least those that have a postbox). If you would like to help me, please contact me at letters.from.islands@gmail.com.
