This beautiful island of Saint Thomas is part of the United States Virgin Islands. It is a mountainous, tropical island located in the Caribbean, 30 minute flight from Puerto Rico. Magens bay, shown on this postcard, was named by National Geographic as one of the world's most beautiful beaches.
The postcard was sent by Hallie, who got it while being on a Caribbean cruise some time ago. First time she saw the biggest town on the island - Charlotte Amalie, which is over 300 years old, and second time she visited this beautiful beach in Magens Bay. "Water was calm and warm, perfect for swimming". I wish I was on such island right now! Even though the card was not sent directly from the island, I think it is still a great introduction to the Caribbean Sea area, which as you can see on the map, is full of amazing islands.
