04 guernsey
The third island on my list - Guernsey! Situated off the coast of Normandy, it's a possession of the British Crown. Together with Jersey and a few smaller islands (Alderney, Sark, Herm, Jethou and Lihou) it forms the Channel Islands.
Big thanks to Sue for sharing this lovely view over the island and the recipe for a traditional dish - Gâche Melée (plus a tip how to improve it: "sprinkle ground cinnamon + sugar on top, before you put it in the oven").
It was also great to get the special Guernsey and Alderney post stamps!
