Hello, my name is Anna. This blog is about all the beautiful islands around the world.

165 l'ile noire

Hello! First of all I am sorry to everyone who has contributed to my project and is waiting for their postcard to be published, I know it's taking ages, but I've been extremely busy recently and I promise I'll try to publish all of your beautiful cards as soon as possible. And if any of you hasn't recieved cards from me - please let me know, and I'll send them again!

Today I have something special for you - a card from an imaginary island - The Black Island ( L'Ile noire) from the world of Tin Tin! :)

It was sent by Eva (of course! she always has such fantastic mail ideas :)) She found it while visiting the Museum of Comics in Brussels, and she only wished she could send it from the Black Island (although it looks small and there's probably no post office there ;)). I like comics a lot, so I was really pleasantly surprised with this card, although I must admit I've never read Tin Tin's adventures (I guess it's time to change it :))

Eva also asked if I thought of including literary/imaginary islands when I started my project - I actually have not, because there are already soo many real islands in the world, but it's actually a lot of fun getting to know those imaginary ones too :) So if you ever come across any other fictional islands, be sure to let me know :)

  1. But the problem is... How are you including the fictional islands in the map? ;)

    1. That is a very good question! Maybe I should just create my own (imaginary) map of imaginary places ;)
