150 tokunoshima
One more card from Japan! :) This time from the island Tokunoshima, a place "where the happiness exists" :).
It was sent by dear Tia, and it's another island neighbouring her home Amami. Interestingly, this subtropical island is known for bullfighting. It differs however from the one in Spain, here in Japan there are two bulls fighting agains each other. As this article says "bullfighting is a way of life and it is not uncommon to see trainers walking their bulls on the road or on the beach. Many children also aspire to continue Tokunoshima’s tradition of bullfighting."
Although most tourist visit either Amami or Okinawa, Tokushima has also a lot to offer, from its beautiful beaches, perfect diving and snorkelling spots, and exciting hiking trails.
If you'd like to know more, have a look here! Thank you so much Tia!

DeleteVery nice. The bullfighting surprised me!
ReplyDeleteYes, that's definitely not something you usually associate with Japan!
DeleteBeautiful! I love the stamps, too! :)
