54 tun sakaran marine park
Tun Sakaran Marine Park (Semporna Islands Park) is a marine park located off the east coast of Malaysian Sabah, Borneo. It consists of the islands of Bodgaya, Boheydulang, Sabangkat, and Salakan.
Pooi Ceei, who sent both the previous card and this one, mentioned that the Sabah state is made up of many enchanting islands, which makes it the perfect destination for eco-adventures. Tun Sakaran Park is the largest marine park of Malaysia, but it is not equipped with facilities for tourists (the same information I found on the Sabah tourism board), and you need a permit to visite the park. There are also Bajau-Laut nomad people (sometimes called "Sea Gypsies") living there, which as Pooi Ceei says, adds uniqueness to this park.
As it says on the card, the photo shows "thatched huts, the abode of maritime folk in Semporna, and seaweed turves in crystal-clear water". Big thanks to Pooi Ceei for sending this card and telling a bit about this fascinating place!
